Sports Day For Charity

Sports Day for Charity is back this year!

Wipeout Cancer’s Sports Day for Charity began in 2013 as an annual fundraising event. In its prime, the event hosted over 1000 participants and volunteers and raised over $25,000 to support local cancer resources. It has been 5 years since we last hosted this event!

For 2022, our objective is to bring our community together – to reflect on the past, reconnect with each other, and reap new joys! We will still fundraise, however we will do this on a much smaller scale.

We’ll host a Reverse-coed Quads Volleyball (4s) grass tourney and set up the Kids Obstacle Course. However, capacity will be limited (sign up early!). In addition, as we’re dusting off the spider webs from our event planning, we’ll be keeping the event to a minimum. We’ve removed the bike ride, and will not be having a raffle, seeking sponsors, creating goodie bags, hosting children’s activities, etc. Lunch and t-shirts will be scaled back. We hope you can join us!

  • The volleyball format is a grass reverse co-ed 4’s tournament split into 2 levels:
    • Fun (combination of former “Friendship” and “Lower” divisions)
    • Competitive (formerly “Upper)
  • The obstacle course is for the kids (ages 4-12). Through the obstacle course, kids have an opportunity to test their fitness and coordination abilities, and play “Wipeout”!

Registration will open the week of June 20, 2022.
